“L’Isola che c’è” is the photographic project realized in collaboration with the international photographer Francesco Piras for the Auchan Olbia Shopping Centre. A tale of Sardinia built through a photographic road tour that has immortalized the present Sardinian identity, made of places and people, and suspended between the consciousness of the past and the uncertainty of the future.

Each photograph by Piras has as its protagonists two people (an old man and a child), seen from behind who observe their land and try to understand its changes. We followed Francesco Piras on his journey, telling him about social issues, and setting up the final photographic exhibition hosted in the Auchan Olbia Shopping Centre.

The profile Instagram Sardegna Isola che c’è, through the publication of photos of backstage with a specific format and an emotional storytelling, was the privileged channel to document the journey of Piras. The success of the channel, which with its contents has exceeded 5,700 organic interactions, is also due to the launch of a hashtag dedicated #sardegnaisolachece, with which users have published more than 300 photos. The Facebook ads dedicated to the event were displayed more than 380,000 times for a total of almost 3,000 interactions.

The photo exhibition in the Gallery finally represented not only the conclusion of the road tour, but also a new starting point, thanks to which visitors rediscovered their land through the eyes of the photographer.
